(March 30, 2010)  Washington – Responding to a lawsuit filed by the American Petroleum Institute and the National Petrochemical and Refiners Association in opposition to retroactivity provisions of the Renewable Fuels Standard as it relates to biodiesel use, the Renewable Fuels Association issued the following statement:

“This lawsuit is not expected to impact demand for ethanol as called for in the Renewable Fuels Standard. Those provisions dictating the use of ethanol are now fully implemented and the law of the land. As such, the RFA takes no position with respect to the lawsuit as it currently stands.”
