RFA Hosts Webinar; 2012 Corn Crop: Implications for Ethanol and the RFS

(August 14, 2012) Today, the Renewable Fuels Association hosted a webinar to put the recent USDA crop report in context with efforts to waive the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS).  RFA Vice President of Research and Analysis Geoff Cooper provided a detailed analysis into the same of the corn crop, the role of ethanol demand in the corn market, and the flexibility of the RFS in helping obligated parties meet their requirements.  Cooper also underscored the market-based data that demonstrates no waiver in 2012 is warranted.
