RFA and Growth Energy Joint Statement on No EU Countervailing Duties

(December 21, 2012) WASHINGTON — Yesterday, the European Commission (EC) formally published its decision in the Official Journal of the European Union declaring that no countervailing duties would be imposed on American ethanol imports. Commenting on the publishing of the decision, the Renewable Fuels Association (RFA) and Growth Energy (GE) issued the following statement:

“It is good and right that the European Commission has formalized in writing its decision not to impose provisional countervailing duties on the ethanol produced in the United States. The RFA and GE appreciated the Commission’s thoughtfulness and careful consideration of the facts and believe similar conclusions will be drawn on the anti-dumping investigation.”
