December 1, 2009 - Washington, DC - Have a cute kid? Want a year’s worth of free ethanol fuel? Then the E85 Flex-Fuel Challenge Cutest Kid Photo Contest is for you. The holiday season is upon us and what better time of the year is there to capture your kids smiles as they play in the snow, indulge in holiday treats, open presents and enjoy their holiday vacation.

The Renewable Fuels Association (RFA) today unveiled its fourth E85 Flex-Fuel Challenge contest . This time we are looking for the cutest kid photo. The Cutest Kid Photo Contest submission phase will begin on December 1st and will be accepting your adorable photos until January 5, 2010. January 6th will mark the beginning of the voting phase and will end February 6th. The winning photo will be awarded a Grand Prize of free ethanol fuel for one whole year! Judging will be based on 50% creativity and 50% quality. The photo that receives the most votes from fellow viewers will receive the Most Voted Award prize of a $500 ethanol fuel card.

Entrants will also have the chance to win prizes throughout the submission process. There will be one monthly drawing for entrants between December 1st and January 5th in which a winner will be awarded a $100 ethanol fuel card. Five random weekly drawings will also be made to award the voters who contributed to the voting process that week a $100 ethanol fuel card. In addition, the first 1,000 entrants will receive a free eco-friendly reusable shopping bag.

“The goal of this contest is to inform mothers about the benefits and environmental advantages of ethanol and how it is the best choice for them, their children and future generations,” said Missy Ruff, RFA Market Development Manager. “As a fellow mother, I want to show them the power of renewables and how each individual can make a difference. We have chosen reusable shopping bags as one of the giveaways to help reduce the use of plastic and paper bags and remind people to reduce, reuse, and recycle.”

Beginning December 1st, entrants will be able to submit their photos on the E85 Flex-Fuel Challenge Cutest Kid Photo Contest page for the chance to win. Directions and official rules will also be available.
