Joseph Goffman was confirmed by the Senate Wednesday evening to serve as the Assistant Administrator for the Office of Air and Radiation at the Environmental Protection Agency.

“We thank the Senate for confirming Joseph Goffman to serve as the Assistant Administrator for the Office of Air and Radiation at the Environmental Protection Agency. His work has already been significant in terms of this administration realizing President Biden’s vision for biofuels like ethanol. Mr. Goffman’s leadership in ending the abuse of small refinery exemptions and supporting the sale of E15 year-round has been substantial to the biofuels industry, as he has always been willing to work with stakeholders like RFA. We look forward to continuing to work with Mr. Goffman in his confirmed capacity, as well as the entire EPA in furthering efforts to lower the carbon footprint of the US energy sector while improving air quality and our environment.”
