Scholarships Help Bring Students to National Ethanol Conference

October 21, 2019

The Renewable Fuels Association is partnering with the Renewable Fuels Foundation to offer scholarships to students who are interested in attending the 25th annual National Ethanol Conference, scheduled for Feb. 10-12, 2020 in Houston. Two scholarships are available to students in higher education to attend NEC. The scholarship covers the cost of the conference-a $969 value-as well as the airfare and lodging costs associated with attending the conference. "As the U.S. ethanol industry's most widely attended annual conference, the NEC offers a terrific educational and networking experience for students," said Dana Lewis, chairperson of RFF and chief administrative officer for Redfield Energy. "I would highly recommend this scholarship to any student studying in the fields of agriculture, economics, marketing or renewable energy." This year's NEC, with the theme "Focus Forward," offers the opportunity to hear the latest ethanol policy insights, emerging trade opportunities, and domestic marketplace developments. Interested students should submit a 500-word essay explaining how their attendance at the NEC will help them achieve their future goals. They should also submit two letters of recommendation and an up-to-date resume. Scholarships are only available to students who are attending a U.S. institution of higher learning or foreign students who are affiliated with the U.S. ethanol industry. For full consideration, applications must be received by Jan. 10. For more details or to apply, visit: http://www.nationalethanolconference.com/scholarships.
